Betti Gretchen Schleyer, Fordham University

Abstract

Concordance rates for Panic Disorder, Agoraphobia, Simple Phobia, Social Phobia, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, and Generalized Anxiety Disorder were calculated using data gathered on the Schedule for Affective Disorders and Schizophrenia (Lifetime Anxiety version). All of these diagnoses are assessed on the SADS-LA in RDC; some are also assessed in DSM-III, some in DSM-III-R, and some in both, Kappas were all in the excellent range, except for DSM-III-R Agoraphobia and Generalized Anxiety Disorder, which were in the.60s. Kappas for each individual Simple and Social Phobia were also calculated.
